European Online Seminar Commemorates Anniversary of Demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- A European on-line seminar was held on Dec. 18 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Present at the seminar on the theme of "Legacies of Leader Kim Jong Il" were the secretary general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, members of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, and Juche idea followers in different countries.
Matteo Carbonelli, secretary general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, made a keynote report.
He said that the world progressives reverently remember leader Kim Jong Il who made undying achievements in socialist construction in the DPRK and in accomplishing the cause of global independence, on the occasion of Dec. 17, his demise anniversary.
He praised Kim Jong Il as a peerless statesman who mastered knowledge about all fields including politics, economy and culture and as the guardian of socialism who defended the DPRK's sovereignty and its people's destiny under the uplifted red flag of the revolution.
There were speeches following the report.
Speakers said that Kim Jong Il, who led to victory the Korean revolution with his unique Songun politics, was a great leader who indicated the path for the struggle of the oppressed the world over, stressing that the exploits of him who devoted all his life to the country and people will be immortal along with the century.
