Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- A memorial meeting took place in Mongolia on December 16 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
The participants laid a floral basket before the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together and paid tributes to them.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
The chairman of the Mongolia-Korea Parliamentary Group of the State Great Hural said that the great HE Kim Jong Il led the Korean people in their struggle for socialist construction and that the noble exploits performed by him who made a ceaseless journey of devotion to the prosperity of the country all his life would shine forever.
The chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development referred to the fact that Kim Jong Il made a great contribution to the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and Mongolia.
The chairman of the Mongolian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea-Songun Idea said that Kim Jong Il pursued the Songun politics in the days when socialism tragically collapsed in one country after another and the imperialists' moves for stifling the DPRK became undisguised and thus defended the country's sovereignty and the people's happiness.
A message to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
