DPRK Olympic Committee and Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports send letter to their Chinese counterparts

The Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea sent a letter to the Olympic Committee of the People's Republic of China, the Organizing Committee of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics and the GeneralAdministration of Sports of the People's Republic of China.
The letter said full preparations for the 24th Winter Olympic Games are made under the correct leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping despite the great calamity of the world health crisis thanks to the active efforts and devoted struggle of the Chinese party, government and people, and continued:
But the moves of the United States and its followers against China get more vicious to keep the Olympic Games from its successful opening. The Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the DPRK resolutely oppose and reject it as an insult to the spirit of the International Olympic Charter and a despicable act to tarnish the international image of China.
We cannot take part in the games due to the moves of the hostile forces and the pandemic, but we will give full support to all the work of the Chinese comrades to hold a grand and wonderful Olympic festival. We express the belief that the fraternal Chinese people and athletes will open the Beijing Winter Olympics with success despite all the obstructions and difficulties in unity around General Secretary Xi Jinping and the Communist Party of China.
The Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the DPRK will further strengthen the friendly exchange, cooperation and travel with the Chinese sports organs and athletes under the wise leadership of the respected Kim Jong Un and thus make every possible effort to contribute to strengthening and developing the traditional DPRK-China friendship, the letter stressed.
The DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to China conveyed the letter to a leading official of the GeneralAdministration of Sports of China on the 5th.
