Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- Koryo medicine is the Korean nation's traditional medicine, which has been long created and developed.
Among the Koryo therapies is a manual technique therapy.
This therapy includes rubbing, massage, pressing and tapotement. They help relax the muscles, improve blood circulation and neurotransmission and prevent joint injury.
Nowadays, the therapy is used as one of the main treatment means for various diseases, not an auxiliary one for recovery of fatigue or limited diseases, as the treatment methods were established on a scientific basis in accordance with the development trend of modern medicine.
Hospitals and clinics in the DPRK like the Koryo Medicine General Hospital cure such diseases as autonomic imbalance, migraine, cervical spondylosis, slipped disk and sciatica with various manual technique therapy methods.
In particular, the manual technique therapy is highly efficacious for autonomic imbalance and cervical spondylosis.
The manual technique therapy significant in clinical practice was registered as a national intangible cultural heritage last year. -0-
