Excellent People

One August day a few years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited again the then Samjiyon County under construction.

That day, looking at the stirring construction site, he said that the people across the country were devoting pure consciences and sweats of obligation to sprucing up the county housing the native home of Chairman Kim Jong Il as their own house true to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Adding that no matter how the water of Lake Chon on Mt Paektu is fresh and clear, it cannot be compared with their sweats of flawless loyalty, that we are hastening the great period with very good people and that he fearlessly will go anywhere in the world together with them, he asked to surely convey his warm comradely greetings to all the builders who fulfil their obligation and duty as eternal soldiers and loyal sons and daughters to the Chairman.

Reflected in his words are his warm trust in and noble appreciation for our people who sincerely uphold and follow their leader, showing no affectation and vacillation, and remain loyal to the cause of Party firmly keeping their burning single-mindedness in mind.

And it shows noble outlook on people and profound revolutionary trait of the respected General Secretary who regards it as his greatest pride to make a revolution with our people possessed of firm faith and burning loyalty, lofty moral consciousness and pure conscience.

Heroic People

Our people have performed world-startling miracles, which others would not dare do, one after another by getting rise to their feet in the worst conditions.

It is the rock-firm faith of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un that there is neither difficulty insurmountable nor fortress unconquerable as long as there are heroic people who turn out as one in response to the call of the Workers’ Party of Korea and perform miracles and feats with the fighting spirit of do-or-die fulfilment.

Therefore, the respected General Secretary said at the First Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea that the foundations of our self-supporting economy that have been laid for several decades, able scientific and technical personnel, and the creative strength of the heroic people who have made self-reliance part of their mental qualities and are brimming with patriotic enthusiasm―these constitute our valuable strategic resources and that by making the most of these enormous and unlimited potentialities, we must create another legendary tale of world-startling, miraculous successes and go ahead of others by making a greater leap forward.

At the historic 8th Congress of the WPK, the first workshop for the chief secretaries of the city and county Party committees, the Sixth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK and a historic policy speech of the First Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, he called for waging a vigorous struggle for the people while expressing his firm will with this call, our great people.

Indeed, the respected General Secretary is an extraordinary man who puts the people on the top place of the world and shines their dignity and life on the highest level.
