The Ulmil Pavilion is on Moran Hill in the capital Pyongyang. It is a historic building belonging to the Koguryo Dynasty (277 B.C.--A.D. 668) which was famous as a 1,000-year-long powerful country in the East. The pavilion was built as a military commanding post in the mid-sixth century. It shows the high castle-building technique during the Koguryo Dynasty and the distinguished talents of the Korean ancestors.
The present one was rebuilt in 1714.
