Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- The young people of the DPRK are now filled with firm resolve to carry through the important tasks set forth at the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
A number of youths in the capital city of Pyongyang volunteered to work at difficult and labor-consuming sectors of local areas, including the Komdok Mining Complex, in the new year. Such volunteering enthusiasm is still growing among the young people in the wake of last year.
Fine virtues and traits of helping and leading each another forward have been fully displayed from the start of the new year.
Officials of the youth league in Kangwon Province visited the young people, who volunteered to work at the livestock farming base in the Sepho area last year, to give lots of aid materials and strength and courage to them. With the New Year as an occasion, youth league officials in South Phyongan Province and other parts of the country visited the families of war veterans, disabled soldiers and those youths who volunteered for work at difficult and labor-consuming sectors last year.
Meanwhile, youth league officials and young people across the country are displaying their wisdom and courage in difficult and labor-consuming fields of the socialist economic construction.
All members of the youth shock brigades in the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex, including the Cha Kwang Su Youth Shock Brigade at the Hoean Youth Coal Mine, have recorded high results every day by intensifying the cooperation between shifts and actively introducing advanced blasting methods.
Young people in many units, including the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex and the Sunghori Cement Factory, have made remarkable successes at their worksites with the determination to dash ahead like the wind under the bright design unfolded by the Party Central Committee.
Those in the agricultural sector who received a new programme of socialist rural construction, too, are registering good results in the farming preparations to attain this year's grain production goal without fail, being optimistic about the new era of rural development. -0-
