Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in different parts of the DPRK supplied thousands of tons of scrap iron to metal factories in the first ten days of the year.
Officials of ministries and national institutions visited metal factories with hundreds of tons of scrap iron and aid materials to encourage the workers out in a drive for increased iron and steel production.
Industrial establishments in the capital city of Pyongyang, too, collected lots of scrap iron. The aid materials and scrap iron provided by Pyongyangites were intensively transported to the Chollima Steel Complex on Jan. 17.
Meanwhile, provinces, cities and counties supplied a large amount of scrap iron to metal factories. -0-
