Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- The metallurgical industrial sector of the DPRK set development-oriented goals for innovation in this year's work and is confirming the new ways for hitting them.
Discussed at major iron works and steel plants are the ways for improving the quality of iron and steel, expanding their variety and further perfecting the Korean-style iron-making method and speeding up the projects for putting objects on a Juche basis.
Taken are measures for improving the operation technology through betterment of equipment management and technical control as well as regular inspection and repair of blast and electric furnaces and reinforcing the existing processes to satisfy the demand for iron and steel.
And innovative achievements have been made at iron mines every day amid the brisk work to take detailed and practical steps for supplying the iron works with raw materials as scheduled.
