Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- A meeting of officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) took place at the Korean Hall in Tokyo on Jan. 19 to vow to carry through the important tasks set forth at the congratulatory message the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent on the occasion of the New Year, Juche 111 (2022).

Attending it were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and director of its Organization Department, Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Pae Jin Gu, vice-chairman and concurrently director general of the General Affairs Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union of Democratic Korean Women in Japan, Ri Myong Yu, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, department directors of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area, officials of central organizations and affiliates and principals of schools at all levels.

Read out at the meeting was the congratulatory message sent by Kim Jong Un to the chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee on the New Year.

Ho Jong Man noted in his report that Kim Jong Un sent warm congratulations to the officials of the Chongryon and compatriots in Japan in the early morning of this year.

He stressed it is thanks to the warm loving care of Kim Jong Un that the Chongryon could boldly reject all sorts of challenges and threats by the reactionaries despite the desolateness in an alien land.

The reporter said that it is the revolutionary conscience and bounden duty of the Chongryon officials to make this significant year another watershed in implementing the behests of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il .

He appealed to all the officials of the Chongryon to make a report of victory without fail by registering marked achievements in the struggle for the overall development of the movement of Koreans in Japan along with the homeland in the year of great auspicious event to be recorded in the national history, cherishing the absolute loyalty to Kim Jong Un .

Then, oath-taking speeches were made at the meeting.
