Pyongyang, January 22 (KCNA) -- Farms in the outskirts of Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK are working hard for more greenhouse vegetable production.
The Jangchon Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Sadong District, one of the greenhouse vegetable supply sources for Pyongyang citizens, has made vegetable growing science- and technology-driven. It produces various kinds of greenhouse vegetables much more than planned, on the basis of the distribution of crops and species proper to soil and greenhouse conditions and through timely and quality tending and harvesting according to crop- and species-specific growth phases.
Greenhouses in Kangnam County are responsible not only in soil tending, seed-sowing, weeding, fertilizing, watering and humidity control but in harvesting to keep the produce fresh and healthy.
Also on the list are the Vegetable Greenhouse in Hyongjesan District and greenhouses of the Sosin Vegetable Cooperative Farm in Ryokpho District and the Songil Cooperative Farm in Sunan District renowned for the production of healthy spinach, lettuce and crown daisy.
They all pay heed to the prompt delivery of the harvested produce to commercial service network in the city.
