Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an article says that the on-going general advance for bringing earlier the overall development of our-style socialist construction requires all the officials, Party members and other people to carry on their vigorous struggle with firm faith in the victory of socialism.
As a member of the society, everyone should regard it as his or her pride and worthwhile life to defend and glorify our-style socialism, the article says, and goes on:
To defend socialism does not mean an acute military stand-off with the enemies only. The struggle for defending socialism is to preserve the true nature of socialism in all fields of socialist construction and in all fabrics of social life and to give full play to the advantages and might of socialism.
The main front of socialist construction at present is the economic one.
Many hardships and difficulties disturb our efforts for paving an avenue toward the implementation of the 5-year plan and laying a foundation for it. Only when we produce social wealth with our diligent efforts at factories and working sites, while putting the state affairs above their family affairs and the duty of patriotic devotion above the right to enjoy, can we tide over the present difficulties and our country will prosper to bring greater happiness to us and our rising generations.
The economic front for stabilizing and improving the people's living is the main front of socialist construction, and the campaign for sweeping away the anti-socialist and non-socialist practices is the most acute one for defending socialism.
Only when all the people firmly maintain their own noble and civilized life-style and moral traits, the true nature of our-style socialism will be preserved and its advantage demonstrated more strikingly.
All the officials, Party members and other working people should devote all their wisdom and efforts to the struggle for defending and glorifying our-style socialism, always keeping in mind the unwavering faith that socialism is their soul and life. -0-
