KCNA Commentary Blasts Overseas Dispatch of SDF

Pyongyang, January 26 (KCNA) -- Japan dispatched an escort ship Samidare of the Maritime "Self-Defense Force" to the Mideast waters.

The ship which left the Kure base in Japan shortly ago is to engage in counter-piracy activities and gathering of information in Aden Bay, the sea off Somalia from the end of February.

Japan's continued overseas dispatch of SDF warships is a manifestation of Japan's policy of aggression to realize its wild ambition for territorial expansion through persistent overseas dispatch of SDF under the pretext of information gathering and counter-piracy activities for ensuring the safety of its ships.

Japan set it as its main strategy for realizing its policy of aggression to dispatch armed forces overseas.

To this end, it has long pursued law amendments to justify the overseas dispatch of the SDF.

Since the adoption of a law on overseas dispatch under the slogan of "peace-keeping" in 1992 and the "security legislation" in 2015, the operation scope of the SDF has greatly expanded overseas beyond the territory of Japan.

The SDF has accumulated combat experience while intensifying military operations in different parts of the world by invoking the evil laws adopted exclusively to pave the path for aggression toward other countries.

The SDF warship dispatched recently is tasked with information gathering as well as counter-piracy activities.

The gravity of the situation is that Japan has secured a pretext for dispatching its troops to any place in the world anytime.

Japan is "legitimizing" its overseas dispatch of SDF, covering up its ambition for overseas expansion by floating false stories about "severity of security environment" and "threats from neighboring countries".

It is the real intention of Japan to use the troops of the SDF in different parts of the world as the vanguard for aggression in contingency.

It is shocking that warships of Japan, which inflicted untold misfortune and suffering upon mankind last century, still travel the world freely under the "flag of rising sun shedding rays".

If Japan embarks upon the road of aggression again, mankind will face more horrible disaster.

The international community is sharply following the military overseas dispatch. -0-
