The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, gave field guidance to a munitions factory producing major weapon system.
He was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Secretary for Organizational Affairs of the Party Central Committee; Kim Jong Sik and Kim Yo Jong, Deputy Department Directors of the Party Central Committee, and leading officials of the Academy of Defence Science.
Looking round the room for education in revolutionary history and production sites of the factory, he was told by its leading officials in detail about the recent technical modernization and remodelling of production processes and the current production.
He highly praised the factory for arming its employees thoroughly with the idea of the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Party Central Committee and bringing about collective innovations and improvement in the production of major weapons to implement the Party decisions.
He said the position and duty of the factory are very important in streamlining the arms and realizing the defence development strategy of the country and indicated the tasks and ways to keep developing the factory into a model symbolizing the modernity of our national defence industry.
He ardently called upon the workers, technicians, officials and military inspectors of the factory to turn out as one in the general drive to thoroughly implement the munitions policy and line presented by the Eighth Party Congress, carrying forward the glorious tradition and history of the national defence industry that have safeguarded the Party and the revolution with the production of munitions with the single desire to defend the revolutionary cause of the Party with powerful, latest arms.
