Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a congratulatory message from G. A. Zyuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, on February 9.
Saying that the 80th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il , eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and leader of the DPRK, is approaching, the message noted that he made a great contribution to the building of socialist society in the DPRK.
He was a genuine patriot of the country and thoroughgoing implementer of the WPK's idea and a great man who regarded it as his lifetime task to bear responsibility for the present and future of the Korean people and achieve the development of the country, it stressed.
It said that under his guidance the Korean people made remarkable successes in the fields of science, industry and culture and put the national defence capability on a new level.
It added that the working people of the DPRK are now building their rosy future with confidence, true to the behests of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il .
