Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Industrial art exhibitions celebrating the Day of the Shining Star (the birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il ) opened in Pyongyang and every province in the DPRK.
Displayed at the exhibition venues are model designs personally guided by Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Industrial artists and amateurs from across the country presented new designs and products conducive to the economic and cultural development of each respective area and improvement of the standard of people's living.
The theme of the exhibition in Pyongyang is "Bringing the beautiful dreams and ideals of the people into reality" and it showcases artworks depicting Kim Jong Il visiting his birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.
Also on display are new designs of school uniforms as well as designs for streets and building roofs in Pyongyang. Typical of them are those showing greening decorations at crossroads and roof greening characterized by combination of Juche character with national identity and modernity.
On display at provincial exhibitions are unique designs helpful for local construction, betterment of people's living, modernization of local industrial factories and production of consumer goods.
Among the exhibits are designs and products including various hairpins for women and varieties of bags and shoes showing the people's demands and tastes as well as advertisements.
The exhibition will last until the middle of March. -0-
