Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- Personages of different countries and regional organizations paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries on February 9-16 to mark the 80th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il , the Day of the Shining Star.

They laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and art works depicting the President and the Chairman standing together before making a bow.

The visitors included the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), the chairperson of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, the chairperson of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (Marxist-Leninist), the general secretary of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, a senior leader of the Indian People's Party, the chairperson of the Organizational Committee of the Communist Workers' Party of Belarus, the general secretary of the Communist Party of Switzerland, the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Democratic Congo and the chairperson of the Socialist Workers' Party of Egypt.
