Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected units of the agricultural sector and other sectors of South Hwanghae Province to learn about the implementation of major policy-oriented tasks facing the province.
At the Samjigang Co-op Farm in Jaeryong County, the Sokmi Co-op Farm in Haeju City and other farms, the premier gave a pep talk to the agricultural workers exerting themselves on the farm fields to translate the Party Central Committee's grand plan for the socialist rural construction into a brilliant reality.
He stressed the need to provide a sure guarantee for attaining this year's target of grain production by supplying enough farming materials in time and taking positive steps to raise the proportion of farm work done by machines, in keeping with the Party's intention to enable South Hwanghae Province, the country's biggest agricultural province to uphold the banner in the agricultural production.
Going round the Jaeryong County Kindergarten, Namyon Primary School in Haeju City, the Haeju City Garment Factory and the Haeju Bag Factory, he said that the officials in the province should scrupulously organize the work to consistently keep up and thoroughly implement the Party's policy for providing the children and pupils across the country with tasty and nutritious dairy products on a normal basis and school uniforms and things.
At the Haeju Port, he stressed the need to increase the cargo unloading capacity by putting harbor cranes and other equipment on a normal operation.
The field consultative meetings discussed the measures for implementing the decisions of the 4th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee, including the issues of increasing the agricultural production in the province, dynamically accelerating the city and county construction and producing and supplying dairy products and school uniforms and bags in time.
Meanwhile, the premier inspected the housing construction site in the Taephyong area and the venue of farm machine show. He called for thoroughly ensuring the quality in the housing construction and positively developing and producing the efficient and modern farm machines suited to the specific conditions. -0-
