Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The 25th Paektusan Prize Sports Contest among Officials of National Institutions closed in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.
The State Planning Commission, the State Commission of Science and Technology, the Taehung Trading Guidance Bureau and the Korean Central News Agency took the first place in total standings of each group.
A closing ceremony took place at the Basketball Gymnasium in Chongchun Street on Mar. 1.
Present there were Kim Song Ryong, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, officials concerned and officials and players of commissions, ministries and national institutions that distinguished themselves in mass sports activities.
At the ceremony, the total standings were announced and commendations and medals were conferred on the excellent units and players.
Ri Tu Song, department director of Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and concurrently vice-chairman of the National Sports Guidance Committee, made a closing address. -0-
