Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Syrian President

Kim Jong Un, president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Bashar Al-Assad, president of the Syrian Arab Republic, on April 17.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in the message extended warm congratulations to the president, friendly government and people of Syria on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of its independence.

He said that the independence of Syria was an event of weighty significance in the struggle of the Syrian people to oppose the aggression and subordination by the imperialists and pave the way for the independent life.

Expressing belief that the friendly relations between the two countries, established and developed by the preceding leaders in the protracted course of the joint struggle against imperialism, would grow stronger in keep with requirement of the new era, he wished the Syrian people success in their struggle for defending the sovereignty of the country and hastening its reconstruction.
