The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, visited the bier of the late Yang Hyong Sop, Recipient of the Order of Kim Il Sung and the Order of Kim Jong Il and former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, on May 14 to express deep condolences over his death.
He was accompanied by Choe Ryong Hae, Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Pak Jong Chon and Ri Pyong Chol, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Ri Il Hwan, Secretary of the Party Central Committee.
The wreath sent by Kim Jong Un was laid before the bier of the deceased.
Kim Jong Un observed a moment's silence in memory of Yang Hyong Sop who devoted all his wisdom and energy to the strengthening and development of the people's government and the socialist system and to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people.
He looked round the bier of Yang Hyong Sop with the sad mind of having lost the precious revolutionary comrade who has been invariably loyal to the Party and the revolution and to the country and the people with high party spirit and revolutionary principle.
He expressed his deep sympathy to the bereaved families of the deceased and warmly consoled them in grief.
