Matsuno, chief of the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan, let loose a reckless remark that “north Korea’s nuclear and missile development can never be tolerated” while officiously picking on the military parade held grandly in Pyongyang in celebration of the 90th founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.
To state the conclusion first, this remark made by a high-ranking Japanese official constitutes an intolerable infringement on and provocation against our sovereignty.
As we made it clear more than once, our nuclear and missile development is an indisputable and inalienable legitimate right of a sovereign state as it is part of the measure to bolster up national defence capabilities.
Japan has no justification whatsoever to criticize our self-defensive measures as it is a war criminal state which had occupied Korea by force of arms and inflicted immeasurable misfortune and pain upon our people in the past.
Japan persists in picking on our measures to strengthen national defence capabilities, calling them “threat” or “provocation”. Its ulterior motive is to justify its unchangeable ambition for overseas reinvasion and its inveterate policy hostile towards the DPRK as well as its illegal and perilous moves to military beef-up.
This is clearly seen through the criminal record of Japan. Being a nation defeated in World War II and stigmatized by the Charter of the United Nations as an enemy state, Japan dispatched aggression forces to the Korean war in the 1950s and has schemed to realize its ambition to reinvade our Republic for several decades.
The fact that Japan has openly come up with “nuclear sharing” as well as possession of the “capability to attack enemy base” aimed at preemptive strike against other countries is indeed an illegal act which can never be tolerated.
Japan will invite grave consequences if it continues to cling to the anachronistic policy hostile to the DPRK.
