Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- North Hamgyong Province of the DPRK has taken urgent measures to defuse the health crisis as soon as possible.
After reinforcing the epidemic prevention posts on boundaries between cities and counties, the province has intensified the work to perfectly check inroads of the malicious disease and curb its spread while strictly enforcing the measure for closing and quarantining every area and unit.
It also launched an intensive information campaign to awake the inhabitants to the treatment methods and hygienic common sense.
Meanwhile, major industrial establishments in the province have put their production on a normal track, revving up the epidemic prevention climate and intensifying the disinfection work under the situation in which production units are locked to each other.
The province has disposed sewage, pathogenic materials and others from isolation places in keeping with the epidemic prevention rules, while thoroughly searching and quarantining persons with fever and those with abnormal symptoms and intensively treating them.
Counties push ahead with the work to supply medicines, foodstuff, non-staple food and necessities to the institutions and industrial establishments and inhabitants in their areas.
Service teams were organized to ensure the life of inhabitants.
The province also directs efforts to notifying of any orders from the central emergency epidemic prevention sector in a responsible manner and strictly reviewing the work for carrying them out. -0-
