Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The emergency epidemic prevention campaign is getting further intensified in the DPRK amid the voluntary unity of all the people in thinking and action.

True to the idea and spirit of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee, the Party organizations and the emergency epidemic prevention units at all levels have conducted sincere consultations to immediately rectify from the critical and developmental point of view the vulnerable points, vacuums, evils and defects revealed in the epidemic prevention work so far.

A work for implanting again and arming the people with the epidemic prevention policies shaped by the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee was launched in a methodological way, and education and control are intensified to make officials and working people in regions and units thoroughly root out their willful interpretation and action over the policies whose validity, efficiency and scientific accuracy have been proven.

The state emergency epidemic prevention headquarters and emergency epidemic prevention sectors at all levels are taking scientific, technological and practical measures to steadily adjust in a mobile way the emergency steps taken after the maximum emergency epidemic prevention system came into force.

The study of such additional epidemic prevention measures as establishing a center for disseminating medicines and nationwide district treatment centers started in collaboration of epidemic prevention and public health sectors, and relevant instructions were issued to all sectors.

More isolation wards have been installed nationwide and a disinfection work intensified as part of the work to block the spread vacuum and infection channel of epidemic amid the increasing number of those quarantined at their houses. Thousands of tons of salt were urgently transported to Pyongyang City to produce antiseptic solution.

The Nampho Medical Appliances Factory and other production units in the public health sector are conducting in a lightening way the work to mass-produce and supply thermometers and other medical appliances to all parts of the country. And pharmaceutical factories and Koryo medicine pharmaceutical factories in the capital city of Pyongyang and local areas increase the production of injections and traditional Koryo medicines effective in prevention and cure of malicious disease.

Scientific research units are strengthening the work to confirm more concretely the course and the cause of epidemic spread and steadily supplement the contents of the treatment guide. The rational duration of quarantining those with fever and the standard for releasing them were set in a scientific way.

In particular, works are conducted in real earnest to predict the trend of epidemic spread in a scientific way and step up in an all-round way the material and technological preparations for coping with future threats and challenges, while sharply watching the serious situation in which novel coronavirus variants are continuously breaking out and spreading in regions around our country.

All sectors of the national economy are stepping up the production to the maximum while strictly observing the anti-epidemic steps taken by the Party and the state under the condition that regions and units were closed respectively.

Units are quarantined reasonably at major construction sites in which the cherished desire of our Party is coming into reality and at key industrial sectors including metal, chemical, electricity and coal industries. And construction and production are being steadily accelerated, with precedence given to the anti-epidemic work.

Agricultural production units across the country are pushing forward the immediate farming, while ensuring the strict medical checkup of those involved in the campaign for rice-transplanting and preventing drought damage and urging them to strictly observe the epidemic prevention regulations and order. -0-
