Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang City People's Committee in the DPRK exerts primary efforts to solving the problems arising in ensuring the life of the citizens in tight closure as the state epidemic prevention was switched over to the maximum emergency epidemic prevention system.
The committee is taking positive steps to solve the problems urgently arising in the citizens' life.
It brought the employees of food administration stations and hundreds of food distribution stores in the districts and counties of the city into a campaign for promptly processing lots of grains transported into the city and serving out rations for all families in time.
It urgently transported hundreds of tons of grains to districts and counties. It has organized the work for sending in time the vast amount of processed corns produced at the Pyongyang Corn Processing Factory to the Central District Food Administration Station as well as the work for transporting vegetables and condiments.
It also pays attention to supplying cooking fuel to the citizens.
It has encouraged voluntary service activities involving nearly 20 000 members serving the citizens with daily necessaries. -0-
