The General Hospital of Koryo Medicine actively conducts the research on Koryo medical diagnosis and treatment methods to put them on a scientific basis true to the intention of our Party to develop our traditional medicine for contributing improvement of people’s health.
Researchers of the physical constitution institute have achieved successes in establishing the method for classifying the physical constitution.
They made a breakthrough in ensuring the scientification of classifying the physical constitution by using indexes, newly found through comprehensive research on theoretical basis of our nation’s peculiar constitution medicine and its clinical peculiarity, free from the old method of depending on only consultation.
In particular, they developed several programs of classifying physical constitution and vigorously promoted the research on generalizing it in close contact with relevant units.
The medical workers and researchers of the several units including acupuncture and moxibustion hospital intensify the research on raising efficiency of treatment and shortening the period of treatment for obstinate diseases.
In the course, they made successes in their work by establishing the method of Koryo medical treatment for 10-odd obstinate diseases such as the lumbar disc herniation.
The researchers of Koryo basicmedicine institute also established the method of quality control for several Koryo medicines and developed the Insam Barrenwort anticancer medicine and health drinks including motherwort mixed drink with ardent desire to actively promote the development of Koryo Medicine.
In addition, the hospital actively conducted the work for widely introducing traditional Koryo treatment methods into clinical practice by developing the program “Uibangryuchwi” and applying it to county-level hospitals and above in all parts of the country.
Not content with achieved successes, the officials, doctors and researchers make strenuous efforts to improve the level of scientification of Koryo Medicine.
