Mobile service activities are now under way in different parts of the DPRK to minimize discomforts and difficulties faced by the people and stabilize their livelihood under the strict lockdown situation.
In Pyongyang alone, lots of mobile service team members deliver daily necessities and condiments to dongs and neighbourhood units, helping the locals with their living as they have been separated according to living units.
They keep close contact with officials of dongs and heads of neighbourhood units despite the spread of the infectious disease to grasp in detail the number of members of each family and the daily necessities and foodstuffs they need and conduct timely service activities.
An official at the Moranbong District general grocer’s shop said that the shop has delivered different kinds of foodstuffs and condiments to relevant residents since the quarantine measure was taken and that the residents continue to express their gratitude to them by phone.
He added that they would keep conducting the mobile service activities not merely as a business for supplying goods but in the spirit of true servants of the people.
According to a relevant official, many people across the country have volunteered for such service activities out of a desire to repay the benefits of the state which takes all kinds of measures for the convenience of the people in life.
The mobile service activities conducted even in the acute anti-epidemic campaign make the Korean people keenly feel the superiority of and gratitude to the socialist system in which top and absolute priority is given to their interests and convenience.
“I’ve keenly felt once again gratitude to our socialist system while experiencing the state’s policies for the people still in force even in the current unexpected emergency,” said Ri Un Jong, a resident of Tangsang-dong No. 1 in Mangyongdae District, Pyongyang.
