Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The people in the DPRK go all out for a scientific and lightening anti-epidemic campaign, full of confidence, under the experienced guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Working guidance teams were dispatched to every province, true to the decisions of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee held on May 21. They correctly grasp the situation of the activated maximum emergency epidemic prevention system and take necessary measures, while acquainting themselves with the progress made in the efforts for carrying out the Party and state policies in the first half of this year.

Officials affiliated to the working teams headed by the members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the Party Central Committee inspected the local hospitals, units in charge of production and supply of medicines and pharmacies. They also meet local inhabitants to hear their opinions. Being told about the problems arising in curing fever, producing and supplying effective medicines and ensuring the people's living conditions, they discuss and take measures to make improvements and provide proper guidance over the local Party and power organs and working people's organizations so that they would scientifically ensure the victory in the anti-epidemic campaign.

Gaining momentum is the work to consolidate the anti-epidemic foundations of the country and apply the most excellent and suitable treatment tactics and methods across the country.

The publicity campaign is focused on teaching information about the Omicron virus variants and helping the public deeply understand various scientific treatment methods to be applied to curing patients of different ages and constitutions and the anti-epidemic regulations.

The prompt collective diagnosis teams organized by the central-level hospitals keep their telemedicine service system turned on round-the-clock to provide local hospitals with timely technical assistance and help them take scientific treatment measures for the patients with abnormal symptoms.

An academic study group has been formed, comprising medical officials and experts of relevant sectors. It concentrates on sternly analyzing the experiences and lessons gained and drawn in the past preventive work and the present treatment of the epidemic and on the study for furthering the state capabilities for tackling health crisis.

The central emergency epidemic prevention sector and the emergency anti-epidemic units at all levels wage a campaign for curbing the spread of the pandemic disease and eliminating its root cause, while engaging in the preparatory work for reacting against any future threats and challenges.

A nation-wide epidemiological reinvestigation has been launched. This is followed by substantial measures being taken on the basis of the results of the comprehensive analysis on the epidemiological features of the fevered persons and progress made in curing them, and of the detailed appraisal of the capabilities of cities, counties and units for putting under control the pandemic disease. Efforts are also directed to boosting the scientific level of the antibody test methods.

Medics of the Korean People's Army put efforts into swapping experiences and effective curing methods so far gained in every post in supply of medicines, diagnosis and treatment and preventive campaign and into generalizing the reasonable ways.

Every province, city and county strictly observe the hygienic requirements in storage and handling of medicines being supplied in advance and analyze the composition of herbs and other useful plants growing in their areas to use them for producing medicines. -0-
