Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The work for consolidating the material and technical foundations of the anti-epidemic and public health sectors is propelled in every way across the DPRK.

The central emergency anti-epidemic sector rationally set the anti-epidemic degree in every region by basing itself on the rate of fever case outbreak and mass immunity level, adjusting it flexibly. Meanwhile, it is taking measures to tackle imperfection in the anti-epidemic work.

It studies and introduces advanced anti-epidemic experience and effective steps to suit the actual conditions, generalizing the good successes in the anti-epidemic work. It also monitors all kinds of test at relevant organs in real time through a quadruple test information system for COVID-19.

It establishes a dense national test network by reinforcing the test facilities across the country to raise the correctness and efficiency of test.

Emergency anti-epidemic units and curative and preventive organs at all levels consolidate the anti-epidemic fortress of their regions and units by conducting scientific anti-epidemic work and treatment.

The Cabinet and the Ministry of Public Health put efforts into establishing a well-ordered state system for monitoring, predicting, studying, controlling and managing all kinds of diseases including COVID-19 and for monitoring on a normal basis the inroad, outbreak, spread and mutation of pathogenic microorganism by building test centers with modern facilities in various regions.

Projects are drawn up and promoted for building regional medical supply centers, standardized pharmacies and multi-functional quarantine places with increased accommodation and improved conditions for lockdown and treatment environment in all provinces, cities and counties.

Experts of Kim Il Sung University and the State Commission of Science and Technology greatly contributed to guaranteeing the anti-epidemic safety by scientifically proving that the biological safety level on all indices of the newly-built laboratory conforms to the standard through various tests.

Those units developing curative medicines finished the test for the clinical effect of already-developed medicines and advanced into the stage of comprehensive analysis for drawing up manuals of those medicines, while accelerating the realization of domestic production of reagent for testing nucleic acid.

Active research is being conducted to complete an advanced management aid system for estimating the situation in the future on the basis of characteristics of the virus spread.

The Bioengineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences and a research group of University of Sciences closely monitor the possibility of the outbreak and spread of a new variant.

Other units including the Education Commission take practical measures for strengthening the ranks of experts both in quality and quantity and training necessary talents by putting efforts into education of virology, bioengineering and immunology. -0-
