Second Autograph Letter

Officials who make devoted efforts for the people with the earnest instruction of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who said that our Party organizations and workers should stand at the places the people are afraid of, anxious about and troubled with, kept in their hearts touch people’s heartstrings everywhere.

While we were gathering news about such officials, we came to hear from an official of the Pyongyang City Party Committee the following touching story.

“Everybody knows that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un sent an autograph letter in December Juche 100 (2011), when the whole country was wrapped in tears of blood after the sudden deprivation of Chairman Kim Jong Il, earnestly requesting us, officials, to ensure the people’s conveniences on a top priority basis in an absolute way. But few people are aware of the second letter the respected General Secretary sent to the Pyongyang City Party Committee a few days later.”

He continued that, in the letter, the respected General Secretary earnestly requested the officials of the Pyongyang City Party Committee to ensure convenience of the citizens with the full awareness and proper attitude that they were the genuine servants of Pyongyang citizens and to console the depressed citizens with motherly sincerity and care.

“At that time, his sorrow was greater than anyone else’s but he thought of the people’s convenience first. He loves his people that much.”

The official expressed his feelings saying the autograph letter that day redoubles every official’s will to devote their all to the people.

This is another touching story reflective of the respected General Secretary’s ardent love for the people.

Quality of Products Shows View on the People

We can feel the devotion of the respected General Secretary to the people anywhere he visited-in factories, farms, dwelling construction sites and the like.

Here is a story the officials and employees of the Myohyangsan Medical Appliances Factory still recall in warm feelings.

In October three years ago, the respected General Secretary visited the factory and inspected the trial products of the medical appliances of its own making.

He personally sat on the observation bed and dental unit and taught that they were a bit tough and that the dental unit, in particular, must be made softer at its head part as patients would have to sit for a long time with their heads leaning backward when they were receiving dental treatment. He also pointed out the defects of the hospital trolley one by one.

That day, the respected General Secretary said it was important to produce medical appliances urgently needed to protect and improve people’s health in large amounts but what was more important was to produce them on a high qualitative basis.

He continued that this was a matter of attitude toward the people.

“Listening to him, we realized once again that the problem of product quality is not a simple economic and technical matter but a matter of our view on the people.”

This is what can be heard from anyone at the factory.

The officials and employees of the factory, with the earnest request of the respected General Secretary to give top and absolute priority to the people’s interests and convenience in their hearts, are striving to ensure quality of the products.
