Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Measures are being taken in the DPRK to completely stamp out the spread of COVID-19, thoroughly prevent the outbreak of various pandemic diseases and turn all the regions of the country into epidemic-free zones.
The emergency anti-epidemic sector, the public health sector and other relevant sectors closely observe the worldwide outbreak and spread of Omicron coronavirus sub-variants and other pandemic diseases like monkeypox, taking preemptive and far-sighted anti-epidemic measures quickly.
In constant liaison with medical research units, the central anti-epidemic sector fixes the quarantine period and the lockdown level for the fever cases and the epidemic-prone areas more accurately.
Proceeding at the final stage is the research for developing a video diagnosis aid system for quickly differentiating various respiratory diseases from the malignant pandemic disease. Intensive technical courses are given to raise the practical abilities of medical workers of treatment and prevention organs.
