Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Working people's organizations in the DPRK had meetings to vow revenge on the U.S. imperialists on Friday, ahead of June 25, the day of struggle against U.S. imperialism.

Present at the meetings were Mun Chol, chairman of the C.C., Socialist Patriotic Youth League, Han Jong Hyok, chairman of the C.C., Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the C.C., Socialist Women's Union of Korea, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, the agricultural workers' union and the women's union and youth and students, agricultural workers and members of the unions.

At the meeting held by youth and students at the Youth Park Open-Air Theatre in Pyongyang, speakers denounced the U.S. imperialist aggressors for having ignited a war on the sacred land of Korea and committed the horrible genocide everywhere they went.

Noting that they are still staging war drills to invade the dignified DPRK, they stressed that if the U.S. imperialists dare to bring clouds of a war to hang over Korea, oblivious of the lessons of history, they would mete out merciless punishment to the U.S. imperialists and other class enemies.

At the meeting of agricultural workers and union members outside the Susan-ri House of Class Education in Kangso District, a witness to the U.S. imperialist brutes' atrocities and speakers said that as long as the U.S. imperialists whet a sword to invade the DPRK, they can neither forget the lesson of history stained with blood nor slack their vigilance even a moment.

They made a resolution to carry out their grain production plans for this year without fail, maintaining full combat readiness.

At the meeting of women's union officials and members outside the Sinchon Museum, a reporter and speakers condemned the U.S. imperialists who ignited the Korean War for ruthlessly killing the innocent Korean people with the most brutal and barbaric methods and destroying peaceful cities, villages, factories and fishing and agrarian communities during the whole period of the war.

The participants in the meetings chanted slogans reflecting their will to annihilate the U.S. imperialist aggressors and make them pay for the blood of the Korean people at all costs. -0-
