Battle Order Given to Army Medics

One May day, the army medics who dispatched to a pharmacy in Ponghak-dong, Phyongchon District, received the news that a war veteran Kim Tuk Phil living in a surrounding village was in a grave condition.

Seeing them come running to his house, the veteran’s wife said in tears to her husband that the army medics sent by our Marshal Kim Jong Un came to cure the veteran.

When Kim’s condition began to grow better thanks to their sincere efforts, his families felt sorry for not knowing about their names.

But they could not know about the touching story associated with soldiers’ devoted deeds.

Later, a saleswoman working with soldiers in the pharmacy told the veteran’s families that once someone called Chang Rim, one of medics, on the phone, but he cut off the phone in an instant after saying sorry and left the pharmacy. Chang Rim’s youngest brother who grew without father made an engagement on the day when the war veteran was in bad condition, the saleswoman added.

They are none other than our soldiers of the People’s Army who regard as their sacred mission and duty to relieve the sufferings of the Party and people’s pain when the country is in difficulties.

In order to implement the order given by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, they have adorned every minute and second with touching stories for defending the people in the anti-epidemic war even now.

They Were Not Simple Neighbors

Kang Yon Hwa is a resident living in Saemal-dong in Sunchon City.

One day in last May her daughter said to Kang.

"Mom, I have just met the chief of the neighborhood unit and she was very impatient at the lack of medicine as the fevered persons keep increasing in number."

"We have some medicine in our family and why don’t we give them to families in difficulty and serious patients. A good neighbor is better than a brother far off. Helping each other is very needed in hardship." said Kang.

Therefore, she began to do good things for the neighbors.

One day, on the newspaper and TV, she witnessed the deeds of officials and working people across the country contributing to the grand anti-epidemic war by donating a large amount of medicines and aid materials.

She was touched and thought that what she had done was a trifle.

She took out all of the medicines she kept in her family and said.

"How about dedicating all these to the anti-epidemic war? I wonder if it may relieve the respected General Secretary from worries about the people.…"

Thus the medicines were transmitted to families in different neighborhood units.

Not only her but also her husband, an ex-health worker, helped medical workers treating the residents.

Their beautiful deeds show the noble mental world of our people who find happiness and pride in sharing weal and woe in the face of difficulties, firmly rallied around the Party, and who prefer comrades and collective to themselves.
