Meetings of Headquarters of Chongryon Held

Meetings of the headquarters of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) were held in different parts of Japan to carry through the decisions of the 25th Chongryon Congress, true to the letter from the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to its participants.
The 25th meeting of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon took place at the Korean Hall of Culture in Tokyo on June 18.
Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and Chairman Ko Tok U and other standing members of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters of Chongryon, leading officials of organizations and affiliates under the headquarters, chairpersons of its branches and deputies.
Read out at the meeting was the letter from Kim Jong Un to the participants in the 25th Chongryon Congress "Let Us Open a New Era of Rejuvenation of Chongryon by Enlisting the Inexhaustible Strength of the Compatriots of Various Social Strata".
Ko Tok U made a report of the headquarters executive committee.
Then, speeches were made before solidarity addresses of Japanese personages.
Ho Jong Man in his speech noted that in the period under review, an unprecedented turn was brought in building lower-echelon organizations of the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters. This is a result of the energetic efforts of the chairman and other officials of the headquarters and its branches who focused efforts on strengthening lower-echelon organizations to rebuild and pep up 20 new Chongryon branches, true to Kim Jong Un's idea of prioritizing branches, he said.
He stressed that the Tokyo Metropolitan Headquarters should stand in the van of struggle for opening up a new era of rejuvenation of Chongryon, deeply cherishing the noble idea and intention of Kim Jong Un.
A letter to Kim Jong Un was read out at the meeting.
The 25th meeting of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon took place at the Osaka Korean Hall of Culture on June 12. Attending it were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, and Chairman Pu Yong Uk and deputies of the Osaka Prefectural Headquarters.
Also, meetings were held by Chongryon headquarters in Hokkaido, Kyoto, Hyogo, Fukushima, Kanagawa, Nishi Tokyo, Yamaguchi, Okayama, Kagoshima, Chiba, Saitama, Miyagi, Aichi, Shizuoka, Mie, Shiga, Hiroshima and Fukuoka prefectures.
