The State Emergency Disaster Committee of the DPRK is concentrating all efforts on the work to protect the lives of the people and land of the country from the flood damage.
It properly guides all sectors and units to take thorough measures for preventing flood damage and transmits real-time meteorological information in close contact with units concerned.
It induces the command teams at all levels for coping with the crisis of emergency disaster to reexamine and take measures against possible defects in promptly operating emergency information system of regions and units at the time of damage.
It also presents increasingly exact demands to survey and grasp every dangerous building and defective spot and promptly repair them by concentrating all efforts and means and takes full measures to protect sea dikes, dams and reservoirs.
Meanwhile, the committee is intensifying the propaganda work to inform the masses of the order of conduct according to the types of disaster and the ways of coping with crisis.
