Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- The Korean Friendship Association made public a statement on June 25, with the June 25-July 27 Month of Anti-U.S. Joint Struggle as an occasion.
Noting that the U.S. imperialists' aggressive, brutal and gangster-like nature was fully revealed in the past three-year-long Korean War, the statement said:
The U.S. imperialists miscalculated that they would occupy the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) at one strike.
However, they came to kneel down before the heroic Korean people who defended every inch of the country at the cost of their blood, firmly rallied around the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung , and could not but sign the armistice agreement.
Even after the war, the U.S. imperialists had made ceaseless war moves in a bid to stifle the DPRK by force of arms, oblivious of the lesson drawn from their defeat in the war.
The U.S. eagerly watches for a chance to invade the DPRK anytime while persistently staging war drills for aggression and bringing a huge amount of nuclear strategic assets to south Korea.
The reality clearly proves that it is just the U.S. that escalates tensions on the Korean peninsula.
The Korean Friendship Association bitterly condemns the anti-DPRK moves of the U.S., the world peace wrecker.
It also extends full support and solidarity to the DPRK's struggle for the country's sovereignty, dignity and the people's happiness and peace and security of the Korean peninsula. -0-
