Under the condition that the route of the malignant virus inroads into the country was verified in a scientific way, the DPRK is taking timely measures to thoroughly eradicate all elements dangerous to anti-epidemic safety on a nationwide scale and rev up the anti-epidemic atmosphere across the society with full awareness and the sharpest vigilance.
The educational data calling on all the sectors, units, working people and inhabitants to fully discharge their duty as befits the citizens of the country in the ongoing anti-epidemic campaign are promptly distributed to the emergency epidemic prevention units at all levels and all the working, production and living units are urged to vigorously wage intensive agitprop activities.
Strong measures are taken to prevent any small break on the wall against the inroad of the malignant virus via land, sea and air while closely observing the outbreak and spread of new epidemics including the Omicron coronavirus sub-variants and the monkeypox virus in other countries.
The emergency epidemic prevention units at all levels reinforced the ranks of the epidemiological survey and monitoring teams and further detailed their missions, while always maintaining the state of mobilization of rapid mobile epidemic prevention teams and rapid diagnosis and treatment teams and rapid consultative diagnosis teams.
The thoroughgoing security arrangements for those members, involved in the work to remove the alien things carried to our territory by the wind and other weather phenomena as well as garbage floated to the shores and rivers, have been made and the demand for strict observation of the anti-epidemic rules is intensified.
Observation posts around the sanctuaries for animals and migratory bird reserves and habitats are reinforced throughout the country and the observation over the movement of migratory birds and wild animals intensified. And the strict disinfection is carried on for the unconfirmed dead birds and wild animals.
In keeping with the current rainy weather, efforts are concentrated on correcting and perfecting the rules on the basis of scientific check of all the elements that can be a channel of inroads of new COVID-19 variants. Meanwhile, a more detailed test is made on the water collected from the rivers and streams in Pyongyang and the areas along the line and samples from the places with epidemic risk in all provinces.
