Presumptuous Act of Cybercriminal State

The U.S., infamous for the kingpin of cybercrime, has staged yet another tragicomedy of commenting on “cyber threat” from other countries.

In early June, the U.S. Assistant Attorney General of Department of Justice accused the DPRK, China, Russia and Iran of gaining not a few strategic gains by using the cyber space. After that, general accounting office, cyber security firm “Sectrio”, a professor of Cincinnati University and even the government-patronized organizations and scholars came forward to raise the alarm about “cyber threats” from the DPRK.

The mere fact that the U.S. holding the worst record of cybercrime is referring to the “cyber threat” from other countries is like a guilty party filing the suit first. It is indeed the height of impudence.

It is an open secret that the U.S. introduced the concept of cyber war for the first time in 1990s, and has so far conducted hacking and wiretapping through projects like “Prism”, “Irritant Horn”, “Stellarwind” etc.

In May 2021, the American magazine “Newsweek” revealed that the world’s largest secret unit organized under the U.S. Department of Defense is waging a full-scale cyber war and that thousands of cyber experts and information collectors of this unit are infiltrating into all social media platform of the world with all sorts of fake accounts so as to collect valuable information and build up false public opinions.

Danish press also made public data on U.S. National Security Agency’s (NSA) interception of calls and text messages of the politicians of European countries, including Germany, France, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands, and denounced the U.S. as the mastermind behind the cybercrime, waging cyber war against anybody, be it an ally or an enemy.

The U.S. is planning to conduct an exercise called “Cyber Flag” together with south Korea at the end of the coming October in Virginia. This fact is a typical example showing the height of U.S. eagerness for cyberattack against other countries.

The U.S. is indeed “hacking empire”, “tapping empire”, “country of intelligence theft” and “cybercriminal state”, both in name and reality.

And such a country like U.S. is talking loud about “cyber threat” of other countries. Its true motive is to justify its international interference into sovereign countries and conceal its atrocious cybercrime under the cloak of “cyber issue”.

Meanwhile, the U.S. has its eye on seeking hegemony by forming the cold war structure even in the cyberspace.

Here are some facts that prove it. In February, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry revealed that “Equation”, a hacker organization under the U.S. NSA, conducted cyber-attacks against 45 countries, including China, for more than 10 years. Recently, the Russian foreign ministry has also denounced the U.S. as the main culprit of the recent cyber-attack against Russia’s major key facilities and state organs.

It is our invariable stand to oppose to criminal acts in cyberspace, and our country has systematically established legal and institutional mechanisms to prevent and eradicate all kinds of cybercrimes.

Nevertheless, the U.S. is making a lot of noise about our “cyber threat”. This is an expression of its ulterior motive to tarnish our external image and justify its pressure against the DPRK.

Before sounding the alarm about other’s “cyber threat”, the U.S. must stand trial for its frenzied cybercrimes against other countries.
