A large number of data, wartime relics and photos have been newly exhibited in the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum in the last ten years since its construction in September Juche 101(2012) under the energetic leadership and grand plan of our Party to make the museum into a world-class one.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited the museum ten years ago and said that the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum is the educational base which equips the servicepersons, working people, youth and students with the Juche Idea, the anti-imperialist revolutionary idea, the prominent art of command and the military strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung.
Then he instructed that the museum should intensify the work for finding out more relics and exhibits concerned with the Fatherland Liberation War.
True to his noble intention, the officials of the museum, scientific researchers, war veterans, bereaved families of war veterans, Party members and working people of the whole country actively took part in the work for finding out wartime relics.
From the beginning of the construction of the museum to its inauguration, more than 1,200 pieces of relics of 90-odd kinds were donated.
Among them are relics like a certificate of the Distinguished Service Medal signed in the President’s handwriting and a radio and a photo enlarger which the President conferred on a soldier.
And also relics such as the national flag of the Republic of the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Guards Tank Division of the Korean People’s Army, bloody flags which made the enemy shudder on Hill 351 and Height 1211, military uniforms and decorations of brave men of the Korean People’s Army, an application of accession to the Party, a diary book, a letter, a newspaper, literary works, musical instruments, a binocular, a map and a compass were donated.
In the last ten years, the museum enriched the exhibits and arranges the data which can prove the history of the Fatherland Liberation War on a scientific basis by newly exhibiting a large number of precious relics, remains and photos concerned with the war.
Through the visit to the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, our people will keep in their minds the immortal exploits of the President in leading the war to victory and the spirit of safeguarding the leader devotedly and of defending the country displayed by the country defenders in the 1950s.
