Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and premier of the Cabinet, inspected the construction site of 10 000 flats in the Hwasong area.
Going round various parts of the construction site, the premier encouraged officials and builders who are creating new miracles and speed in construction with the honor and pride of being participants in the great creation campaign for realizing the Party's long-cherished desire.
He called on the officials in charge of construction command to take hold of the overall construction project and raise the roles of construction units and supervisory organ so as to ensure both quality and speed in the construction.
He also stressed the importance to ensure the characteristics and appearance of a modern city lot in the exterior and interior construction of buildings and properly carry out the afforestation and greening including planting roadside trees and building parks.
The field consultative meeting discussed the issue of reliably executing the scientific ideas and plan for developing the construction sector on a long-term basis to carry through the decisions made at the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 8th WPK Central Committee, the issue of raising the mechanization proportion in construction work and expanding the introduction of advanced construction methods and architectural techniques, the issue of making sure that relevant units including ministries and national institutions fully supply materials needed for construction, especially building fixtures, in time and other issues before taking relevant measures. -0-
