Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- More measures are taken in the DPRK to enhance the state's counter-crisis capability.

A social atmosphere of waging a fierce struggle against a slight factor and phenomenon which can spoil the anti-epidemic environment is consistently maintained and the work for further cementing the state's anti-epidemic barrier is accurately pushed ahead with as planned.

The state emergency anti-epidemic headquarters is focusing all its efforts on finding causes of a sudden threat to the safety of the country and the people's lives in their early stages and taking measures against them while concretely and scrupulously monitoring the anti-epidemic situation of the country.

It thoroughly guarantees the mobilization and implementation of the measures being intensively taken to prevent and control an epidemic on a nationwide scale under the unified plan and guidance. It also intensifies the observation to spots with epidemic risk and relevant test there and deepens the epidemiologic examination and analysis of diseases similar to COVID-19.

It has further completed programs for confirming the people suspected of being infected with the virus by compiling concrete data on symptoms of COVID-19 in liaison and under cooperation with experts from scientific, educational and medical research organs.

It draws up, distributes and introduces into epidemic prevention guides to methods of the production of the newly-developed disinfectant and its usage. It makes curative and preventive organs scrupulously conduct the clinical observation to those with aftereffects, treat them scientifically and rationally and help the patients observe the rules of health.

Relevant sectors and units including the Ministry of Public Health and the Pyongyang University of Medicine have conducted efficient tests while closely observing the characteristics of COVID-19 sub-variants spreading over many countries of the world and their changes. -0-
