Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Farms in South and North Hwanghae provinces of the DPRK concentrate on the prevention of damage by moisture to maize.
To cope with lots of rain, agricultural workers in Hwangju County of North Hwanghae Province clear out the drainage canals and ditches around the maize fields and see to it that rainwater is not collected in the furrows.
Singye, Koksan and Pongsan counties, too, learned about all the maize fields vulnerable to the damage from moisture, and take necessary measures.
Agricultural workers in Pongchon County of South Hwanghae Province clear out the drainage canals.
