Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation and seminar in the power industrial field was held from August 8 to 12, under the sponsorship of the Korean Power Industry Association affiliated to the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
Attending it were officials, scientists and technicians from ministries, national institutions, scientific research and education organs, power industrial field of the country and relevant units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, the Ministry of Electric Power Industry, the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry, the Ministry of Chemical Industry and the Electricity Institute and the Hydraulic Engineering Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences.
Its aim was to generalize the sci-tech successes and experience gained in putting the production of electricity on a high level, reducing the loss of electricity in transmission and building new power bases while satisfactorily meeting the immediate demand for the power. Presented to the presentation were more than 60 valuable essays.
The seminar had a detailed discussion on a rational method for raising the frequency of power system.
