The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un received a message of greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15.
The Russian President in the message offered the DPRK leader heartfelt congratulations on the day of liberation, a national holiday.
Our two countries cherish precious memories of the service personnel of the Red Army and the Korean patriots who fought for Korea’s liberation shoulder to shoulder, the message noted.
It said the glorious traditions of friendship and cooperation established in the grim days still serve as the solid foundations for developing good neighbourliness between the Russian Federation and the DPRK.
It expressed the conviction that the two countries would continue to expand the comprehensive and constructive bilateral ties with their joint efforts.
This fully conforms to the interests of the peoples of the two countries and will contribute to strengthening the security and stability of the Korean peninsula and the Northeast Asian region as a whole, the message stressed.
In the message, the Russian President wished the DPRK leader good health and success and all the citizens of the DPRK happiness and prosperity.
