Core of Modernization
One November day several years ago, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the Pyongyang Children’s Foodstuff Factory.
Touring different parts of the factory he learned in detail about its modernization and production and the variety and quality of products.
The modernization of the factory is very admirable, he said, adding:
It is thanks to the creative wisdom and unyielding spirit of our workers, scientists and technicians and the great potentiality of our machine-building industry that the huge modernization project could be finished on a high level in one year.
What pleased him in particular in modernizing the factory is the fact that each production process is equipped with up-to-date facilities designed by our scientists and technicians and made by our own efforts, he said, stressing that localization constitutes the core of the Party’s policy on modernization.
Engraving in their minds his lofty intention, officials confirmed their determination to further display the spirit of self-reliance.
Priceless Treasure
In January Juche 105(2016), the respected General Secretary provided field guidance to the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill.
While looking round the mill he halted in front of a high-temperature, high-pressure roller dyeing machine manufactured by professors and researchers of a university.
A professor of the university explained to him about the performance of the machine.
The respected General Secretary said that how good it was to make things on our own and self-reliance was the only way out.
He added proudly that priceless was the spirit of self-reliance displayed by the mill which built new bag production process by its own force under the banner of localization.
That day he had a meaningful photo taken with the high-temperature, high-pressure roller dyeing machine for a background.
The unforgettable day implants in our minds the iron truth that the spirit of self-reliance is the most precious treasure and key to performing miracles lies in it.
