Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Koreans in China significantly marked the 77th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Laid before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at Yuwen Middle School in Jilin of China were floral baskets in the names of the General Association of Koreans in China (GAKC), the Association of Korean Women in China and others.
Also placed before the art works depicting President
Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the DPRK missions in Shenyang and Dandong were floral baskets in the names of the Federation of Korean Economic Workers in China, the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, the Dandong City Branch of the Liaoning Province Regional Association and other organizations of Koreans in China.
The GAKC held a meeting at its conference hall on August 15, the 77th anniversary of Korea's liberation.
Attending the meeting were First Vice-Chairman Choe Su Bong and other officials of the GAKC, members of the Association of Young Korean Nationals in China, the chairperson of the Association of Korean National Businessmen in China, the chairperson of the Association of Korean Nationals in Shenyang City and chairpersons and members of its affiliates and other compatriots.
An art performance and a reception were given after the report made by Choe Su Bong.
The celebration meeting of the GAKC was screened at the Yanbian Regional Association, the Zhongnan Regional Association, the Mudanjiang Regional Association, the Harbin City branch of the Harbin Regional Association and other affiliates of the GAKC.
On August 14, the Yanbian Regional Association of the GAKC made a study tour of Chechangzi associated with President Kim Il Sung 's exploits in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
