Blessed Father and Son
The following happened when the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un inspected the defense detachment on Jangjae Islet for the first time.
The service personnel of the defense detachment and family members welcomed the General Secretary with great excitement and enthusiastic cheers.
Among them was a woman with her newborn baby Jong Hang Myong.
The respected General Secretary was looking at the service personnel and family members with a bright smile when he came across her running up the stairs with Jong Hang Myong in her arms. He kindly told her to come up slowly lest she fall over.
He held the baby Jong Hang Myong in his arms and asked her the baby’s name and where his father was.
Being noticed that the father of the baby was on an official trip, he, after a while, suggested having a picture taken with the family members.
When the photo session was over, the family members again broke into cheers of "hurrah!"
At that time the respected General Secretary tender-heartedly said to Hang Myong’s mother that her husband would be glad to see the photo in which he had taken with Hang Myong in his arms.
The meaningful souvenir photo taken that day conveys how warm and ardent the General Secretary’s love and affection for revolutionary soldiers are.
His Love Reflected in Temperature Difference of 2℃
It happened in May several years ago when the respected General Secretary visited a hospital. He visited rooms where children of baby home and orphanage were under recuperation at the hospital.
While cosseting up the children’s winning ways at a room he unexpectedly asked what the temperature of the room was.
After being informed from an official that it was 25 ℃, he said it was too high.
After a while he added that if the rooms were too hot, the orphans would sweat freely to suffer from prickly heat and skin disease.
Officials were touched to recognize that he concerned himself about the health of orphans living at the rooms.
The General Secretary continued to say that the agreeable temperature of the room was 23℃ rather than 25℃.
25℃ and 23℃!
It was an inappreciable difference in temperature of 2℃.
However, the General Secretary, who loves and takes care of orphans regarding them as his own children, concerned himself about the minute difference in temperature.
