Pyongyang, September 23 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation and symposium in the field of metallic materials took place at the Sci-Tech Complex on Sept. 20-22 under the sponsorship of the Korean Society of Metallic Materials of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The event, held on the theme of "The Juche-based production and processing of metallic materials", was aimed to share the successes and experience gained in putting the production and processing of metallic materials on a Juche basis and find a sci-tech way for expanding the industrial introduction.
Attending it were teachers, researchers, graduate students, students, field technicians and others from Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering, the Ferrous Metal Research Institute of the State Academy of Sciences, the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and other units.
More than 50 papers were submitted to the presentation.
The symposium discussed the introduction and popularization of advanced metallic materials technologies on an industrial scale. -0-
