Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un , general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), received a message of greeting from the participants in the European regional online seminar celebrating the 74th birthday of the DPRK on Sept. 9.
In the message, the participants in the seminar, sponsored by the Korean Friendship Association UK, extended congratulations to Kim Jong Un on the 74th birthday of the DPRK.
The message said that the founding of the DPRK by President Kim Il Sung on Sept. 9, 1948, was a great event as he built a state to be thriving with independence in politics, self-support in the economy and self-reliance in national defence.
With the birth of the DPRK, the Korean people could build a socialist society and this is a great precious feat as it gave a great encouragement to the Korean people and the world people, the message stressed, adding:
The DPRK, a genuine people's country, advanced straight along the road of independence and socialism under the wise leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il .
We are rejoiced over the fact that the undying feats of the great leaders are now creditably being carried forward in the DPRK, a model socialist country, by Your Excellency Kim Jong Un .
The online seminar served as an important occasion of introducing and giving publicity to the glorious history and reality of the DPRK, and we decided to intensify the activities for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people next year, which will greet the 75th birthday of the DPRK and the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
The great feats of the DPRK will be immortal.
The message wished Kim Jong Un greater success in his responsible work for the development and prosperity of the DPRK and good health. -0-
