Pyongyang, September 25 (KCNA) -- A European regional on-line seminar was held under the sponsorship of the Korean Friendship Association UK on September 3-11 to mark the 74th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Posted on the website was a photo showing a floral basket to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un from the participants in the seminar.

The website also carried congratulatory letters to the seminar sent by the organizing committee of the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Asia-Pacific Regional Committee for Supporting Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the Arabian Regional Committee for Friendship and Solidarity with the Korean People, the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea and organizations in the DPRK and other countries.

Posted on it were speeches under such titles as "74 years of independence and progress" and "The DPRK's position and role in the present world".

It was attended by personages from organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people in Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Belarus, Belgium, Sweden, Britain, Austria, Albania, Italy, Spain, Finland, Serbia and other European countries and Nepal and Pakistan and members of the Korean Friendship Association.

The chairperson of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association made a keynote report at the seminar.

The reporter said that the founding of the DPRK was an event of remarkable significance in the Korean nation's history of 5 000 years and a great victory won by the Korean people in the struggle for achieving independence.

Since its founding, the DPRK has made noticeable achievements in socialist construction, the reporter noted, adding:

The collapse of socialism in some countries late in the last century made not a few people waver in their faith in socialism.

The imperialists took advantage of this to stifle the DPRK.

At that time, Leader Kim Jong Il made public his immortal works to prove the inevitability of the triumph of socialism.

His unique Songun politics made it possible for the DPRK to foil the anti-socialist moves by the imperialists and enter a new era of building a powerful country.

Today the DPRK is further demonstrating its might as an invincible socialist fortress and a country of single-minded unity where the leader and the people have been united as one.

The cause for the people, the socialist cause of Juche whose foundation was provided by President Kim Il Sung and which were dynamically advanced by Leader Kim Jong Il , has been creditably carried forward under the guidance of His Excellency Kim Jong Un .

Then speeches were made at the seminar.

A congratulatory message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted there.

And a resolution was issued to express support and approval for the policy speech made by Kim Jong Un at the Seventh Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the adoption of the law on the policy of the state nuclear forces.

There was a photo show dealing with the reality of socialist Korea advancing under the banner of the Juche idea and the beautiful looks of Pyongyang during the seminar. -0-
